A reminder that the Stafford show is next weekend, the team and I will be on Clutton.

Come along to see 3' curves, uncompensated coaching stock and Keen couplings. Oh and an Ultrascale conversion of the 45XX Bachmann prairie, the Bachmann 57XX along with sprung and compensated locos.

Good luck Tim, I am sure that Clutton will be as stunning as ever. Is it due to make an appearance anywhere else this year? As I would really like to see it in the flesh and sadly can't make the Stafford show.

I believe Danny is updating the calendar, but it will be appearing at Middlesbrough and Cardiff later this year.

And lets not forget that the Crewe Area Group will also be there with Knutsford East

I'm afraid we don't have much in the way of curves, uncompensated coaches, or green loco's, just workman like black locos and 4 or 5 coach rakes of teak or dirty brown CLC coaches.

Stephen Williams' Faringdon will be there too, more green loco's I'm afraid, but not a bad turn out to support the S4 cause I would have thought.

Looks like a good weekend.

I just did a count, the black engines outnumber the green engines by 7 to 3!

One here seen hard at work on yet another coal train.

Thanks for uploading the photo Tim, I do love Clutton. I might aim to get to the Cardiff show as that isn't too far away from Devon.

Actually I try to keep the Calendar as up to date as possible all the time. I keep a spreadsheet of events and layouts which I add information to as I get it. Tim and some others have let me know in advance where they are exhibiting their layouts and I would welcome information from other layout owners, e-mail me at: diary@scalefour.org otherwise I'm spending time trawling for information on the web and in the magazines.

The Calendar only shows information up to six months ahead, but if you want to check anything further ahead just scroll to the bottom of the listings and click on the link 'View the Scalefour Calendar' which will take you to the basic Google calendar that feeds the main calendar.

All the Best

Not a surprise to me - I could hardly get near it for the crowd!

Good to see Clutton and the crowd today, and Knutsford East and Faringdon were also drawing attention. It was interesting to see that the finescale layouts in all scales were the ones that were getting much attention.

You should be very pleased, not least because you were up against Rowlands Castle - http://www.rowlandscastlemodelrailway.com/ - which is a superb depiction of a southern England village. It's a shame that as the scenic works and rolling stock are so superb the fact that it uses OO track really rather detract from it.

Well done!

Well done Tim for acquiring the Stratford trophy. Shows that getting it all right can have its successes. As a matter of interest, any idea exactly what the trophy is supposed to build up into?

Knutsford had a good show too and a write up of our doings appears here :- Knutsford at Stafford

Thanks Will, but I wouldn't put myself in the category of "getting it all right" :!:

The trophy, as Will alludes to, is a collection of etchings from different kits, and probably couldn't be built into anything - only one frame side for example :?
