LSWR Wagon Liveries

Postby doktorstamp » Fri Sep 09, 2011 9:34 pm

Does anyone know of a listing of wagon liveries for this company? I have managed to extract parts from a variety of sources. Though at times these are conflicting.

Any help would be appreciated.

kind regards

Hi Nigel,

Have you looked at "An illustrated history of Southern wagons - volume one"?

It's not my speciality so I can't vouch for the absolute accuracy, but it has four pages of notes that seem pretty comprehensive. And of course lots of photographs.

Hi Flymo

Thanks for the direction. I have discovered that HMRS have produced a book, and a further addendum, both now ordered and on their way to me.

cheers

You might like to look at:

British Goods Wagons

Rowland, Essery and Steele.

I think this was a David and Charles publication some 30 years ago. The livery information at the end is always a could starting point.
