This is a picture from Bing maps of the east end of Toronto harbour taken (I believe) a few years ago.
They look to me and Dave Knight to be class 66's from GM in London, Ontario. I know they export them by ship, (and by aircraft once...) but I thought they sent them out from Montreal or Halifax where there is the heavy lift capacity.
Can anyone confirm what they are, and why they would be in Toronto?
Cheers,
Mark
Are these cl 66's?

Hi all,
Looking at the air conditioner on the roof and the symbol mid-way down the side I'd say these are for the Dutch operator ECR, so technically not a 66 but the JTwhatever is the official classification. Pics on this site <http://class66.railfan.nl/> if you want to see what they look like from ground level. Some have travelled in the same Jumbo ship with orders for Freightliner I believe.
