More tech?

Postby zebedeesknees » Sun Feb 25, 2024 3:10 pm

Interesting piece on last night's episode of 'Click' on the BBC, about the Smart Mouthguards being used in the Rugby Union Six Nations tournament. A tiny chip in the gumshield has accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor and a battery that must be lasting for at least the 40+ minutes of a half. Each transmits to a monitor during the game. I can see applications...

Applications.... model car demolition derby, with damage reports and consequential reduced control rated to impacts ?

Or "troublesome trucks" if you over-shunt things :-)

It's a mouthguard so at a model railway show - 'my layout is better than yours' - leading to fisticuffs ...
