Kirkcliff Coking Plant

Postby Hardwicke » Mon Oct 23, 2023 10:13 pm

I realised the other day I have never posted specifically about Kirkcliffe Coking Plant. my layout inspired by Smithywood on the South Yorkshire Railway from Sheffield Meadow Hall to Barnsley (later MS&LR, GCR, LNER). Far from complete and under plans for a major redesign, though the basics will remain. It is set in the 1970's and 80's as one of the last places in the country to use steam for shunting. BR locos bring wagons in and set back into the exchange sidings.
