Locomotive wheel conversion sets for Bachmann, Heljan and Hornby
Many of my customers over the past few years have asked if I could help by making some of my driving wheels available with 3mm, 2.5mm or 2mm axles in order to re-wheel the latest releases from Bachmann and Hornby. The following are now available in EM and P4.
The wheels come in complete packs to convert a loco's driving wheels together with correct size axles. ie. Hornby Black Five = 3 axles 6ft. 19spoke with 3mm axles in one pack.
Remember to clearly state the gauge required, and also the 2, 2.5 or 3 mm. axle when ordering these wheels.
We can also supply crankpins and bogie/tender wheels from our standard range to complete the locomotive conversions.
(Illustrated above is a Jinty wheelset, 4800/17. Note: crankpins and rods to be purchased seperately, gear transferred from Bachmann axle.)
